I’ve worked with so many adventure elopement photographers over the past 14 years. Plus, I used to be a wedding photographer myself! In fact, a lot of the people I was closest to in the industry specialized in this type of work, so it’s a niche I know really, really well.
I even assisted with an elopement shoot in Iceland of all places. (Do people even say epic anymore? Because that’s still the only word that feels appropriate.)
Anyway, some of these templates were specifically designed for elopement photographers, while others are just incredibly adaptable. Either way, these are my top picks for elopement photography website templates.
But before we get into the templates themselves, let’s talk about what every great elopement photography website needs…

What every elopement photography website needs…
1) Space for BIG images.
Elopements are all about first impressions.
With a large hero image, you’re able to set the tone the second someone lands on your website. Before they’ve read a single sentence. Before they’ve clicked on your portfolio. Before they’ve even started scrolling.
You’re immediately pulling them into an emotional experience. This is where big landscape images really help to set the stage.
2) The space directly below your hero image matters just as much.
Think of your hero image as the first impression.
The next section is the second.
This is where you establish the vibe of your brand.
Is it fun? Quirky? Moody? Emotional? Adventurous? Spontaneous? Personal?
Those first few sections should tell visitors exactly what kind of experience they can expect from you.
3) Travel and SEO should be part of the conversation.
Not every elopement requires travel, but many of them do.
That means your website often has to do more than showcase beautiful photographs. It needs to support multiple locations, multiple regions, and sometimes even multiple states or countries.
Your website should give you the flexibility to create location-specific pages, highlight your travel schedule, and build an SEO strategy that helps couples find you no matter where they’re planning to get married.
Now…onto the fun part!
Bailey

If adventure elopement photographers had an official website template, it might just be Bailey.
With its desert-inspired boho aesthetic, rusty oranges, warm tones, bold typography, and layered design elements, Bailey was built for photographers whose weekends are spent chasing sunsets and exploring somewhere new.
It’s also our top-selling template of all time and was one of Showit’s top-selling templates in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Adventure is woven into every part of this template, from the imagery to the layout to the copy itself.
This template is for you if your ideal wedding day involves hiking boots, breathtaking views, and couples who’d rather exchange vows in the middle of nowhere than inside a ballroom.

Dakota

Think of Dakota as Bailey’s slightly more sophisticated sister.
There’s still a strong emphasis on exploration and travel, but the overall feel is much more modern and editorial. The neutral color palette, elevated typography, and thoughtful layering make it feel refined without losing the warmth and approachability that’s so important in the elopement world.
One of my favorite features is the animated number counter, which allows you to showcase the coordinates of some of your favorite places to photograph.
There are also a few fade-in transitions throughout the site that make it feel more interactive and dynamic than many of the static websites you see online.
This template is for you if your work feels adventurous and refined at the same time.

Claremont

The demo images in Claremont might make it look like a template designed exclusively for family photographers, but don’t let them fool you.
This template would translate beautifully to an elopement photography website.
The oversized images, warm color palette, editorial layout, and slightly moodier feel make it an incredibly versatile choice. Swap in your own photographs and it takes on an entirely different personality.
This is one of those templates that reminds me why it’s so important not to choose a website based solely on the demo images.
This template is for you if your photography feels warm, emotional, and just a little bit cinematic.

Emslie

The perfect blend of professionalism and whimsy.
Emslie feels a little softer than some of the other templates on this list, which is exactly why I think it works so well for certain elopement photographers.
The elegant typography, spacious layout, intuitive navigation, and romantic details create a website that feels polished without feeling overly formal.
If your couples are planning intimate wedding days filled with meaningful moments, handwritten vows, and a slower pace, Emslie might be exactly what you’re looking for.
This template is for you if your style leans romantic, timeless, and effortlessly elegant.

Norwalk

Norwalk is my editorial hero.
Unlike some of my other templates that rely on large, full-bleed imagery, Norwalk takes a different approach. Smaller photographs overlap and layer together to create almost a collage-like effect, giving the entire website a more curated, magazine-inspired feel.
One of my favorite details is that each page features a different background color, which creates a really interesting visual rhythm as visitors move through the site.
The template also includes multiple gallery styles, giving you a lot of flexibility in how you present your work.
This template is for you if your style is modern, editorial, and you want your photographs to do most of the talking.

A quick note on strategy.
I’ve always believed that elopement websites need to do more than just look beautiful.
The best ones immediately communicate a feeling. They make couples think, Yep. That’s exactly what we want.
After helping more than 2,300 wedding photography templates find their homes, I’ve learned that the strongest websites guide visitors through your work in a very intentional way.
From the size of the images to the order of the sections, the placement of calls to action, and even the way the galleries are organized, every decision should have a purpose.
The right website doesn’t just showcase your portfolio. It reinforces your value, supports your SEO strategy, and helps potential clients picture themselves in your photographs.
