Brand and Custom Showit Website Design Launch : Dunn Designs

Dunn Designs, formerly known as Dunn and Tighe Interiors, is a boutique design studio based in Norwalk, CT, led by Leslie and Taylor. When they approached me to reimagine their brand and website, they were in the midst of a significant transition—both in name and in the evolution of their design aesthetic. They sought a brand that would reflect their modern and refined approach while still honoring the timeless elements that define their work.

Aesthetic Direction: Modern, Fresh, and Classic

The essence of Dunn Designs lies in their ability to blend modernity with classic design elements. Their style is contemporary and streamlined, yet it carries a subtle nod to tradition, ensuring that every space they design feels both current and timeless. To capture this aesthetic in their branding, we opted for a clean and sophisticated look that balances simplicity with elegance.

The logo design incorporates sleek, modern typography paired with understated elements that suggest a sense of heritage. The color palette is composed of neutral tones, with subtle accents that add warmth and depth, mirroring the way Dunn Designs approaches interior spaces—fresh and modern, yet inviting and personalized.

Website Design: Streamlined and User-Friendly

The website, built on Showit, reflects the same principles of modernity and refinement. The design is intentionally minimalistic, allowing the studio’s portfolio to take center stage. The layout is clean and intuitive, guiding visitors through the site effortlessly. Each section is designed to showcase the studio’s work, with large, high-quality images that capture the details and craftsmanship of their projects.

A key aspect of the website’s design is its user-friendly interface. Potential clients can easily navigate through the various services offered by Dunn Designs, explore their portfolio, and learn more about the studio’s approach. The site is not only visually appealing but also functional, with clear calls to action that encourage engagement and inquiry.

Brand Identity: Refined and Unique

Dunn Designs prides itself on creating spaces that are unique to each client. This focus on personalization is central to their brand identity, which we aimed to convey through both the branding and website design. The branding materials—including the logo, business cards, and other collateral—were designed to be elegant and versatile, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.

The website further reinforces this identity by highlighting the studio’s ability to blend modern and classic elements to create bespoke interiors. The project galleries are presented in a way that allows potential clients to see the breadth and depth of Dunn Designs’ work, from contemporary urban apartments to timeless family homes.

A New Chapter for Dunn Designs

The rebranding and website design for Dunn Designs mark a new chapter for the studio as they continue to grow and evolve in the design industry. The new brand identity and online presence reflect their commitment to excellence and their ability to create interiors that are both stylish and timeless.

This project not only honors the legacy of Dunn and Tighe Interiors but also sets the stage for Dunn Designs to continue making a significant impact in the world of interior design. With a brand that is as refined and unique as the spaces they create, Leslie and Taylor are well-positioned to attract clients who appreciate their modern, fresh, and classic approach to design.

Leslie’s #1 design tip: Go for it and get pin-spired but don’t be afraid to step outside of the design box and create a look and vibe unique to you! Let the inner trend setter in you loose! Keep it fresh, paint your ceiling color any other color but white.  Or hey, maybe try wallpapering the ceiling to give it a cool texture and design. Without a doubt it would be a jaw dropper.
